Samaritans Suicide Prevention Center’s mission is to alleviate suffering, prevent suicide and save lives by providing: immediate and ongoing support to those in distress; a path to healing for those touched by suicide; training on the keys to effective interventions for health providers; caring, confidential and safe alternatives to existing clinical/government-run programs for the underserved, untreated and those impacted by stigma--through our 24-hour crisis hotline, public education and awareness and survivor of suicide loss programs

 

Hamilton-Madison House, Inc. is a non-profit organization formed in 1898 to welcome immigrants and provide programs designed to create opportunities for underserved communities. HMH’s Behavioral Health program opened in 1974 offers psychological and psychiatric services to individuals, couples and families working through emotional and behavioral issues at two locations on an outpatient basis, with services provided in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese and Cambodian.  HMH’s mental health treatment centers are respected field placement sites for graduate students in Art Therapy, Psychology, Social Work and Mental Health Counseling.
