Samaritans is NYC’s only community-based organization devoted to preventing suicide and operates NYC’s confidential 24-hour suicide hotline that has answered over 1.3 million calls; a public education program that has trained over 40,000 health providers working in community non-profit, government, academic settings; and survivor support programs that have served hundreds of individuals who have lost loved ones to suicide.

 

 

Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, is devoted to transforming child mental healthcare through innovative research, patient care, education, and engagement.  Staff consists of clinicians with expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry, clinical psychology, social work—and trained in the most advanced, research-based treatments and diagnostic techniques.
